Old Bull Social Evening To Return
Monday 10th January 2011

We are delighted to announce the return of our social evenings at The Old Bull on Church Street, Preston.

The social evening is being re-launched with the full backing of Adult Learning Disability Team Leisure Coordinator Kevin O'Hara who hopes that the evening can replicate the success of its neighbours in Leyland and Chorley.

The social evening was originally launched last summer after the success of similar events at the Wagon & Horses in Leyland and The Hop Pocket in Chorley but was cancelled after 5 weeks due to a lack of funding.

The idea behind the social evening is to give adults with learning disabilities a chance to socialise in a safe, friendly and welcoming pub environment, strengthen relationships with friends they may only see in a work or college environment as well as creating new friendships.

The first evening will place on Wednesday 26th January in The Kolor Bar at The Old Bull on Church Street. The evening starts at 6.30pm with a live singer/karaoke from 6.30pm until 9pm, however customers are welcome to stay until the bar closes around 11pm. Further information will be announced shortly.

The Old Bull is just 300 metres from the bus station and on the same road as the train station. There is a free car park at the rear. The pub also boasts disabled toilet facilities and is wheelchair accessible.
